In-person and online hypnotherapy sessions available.
A phobia is different from fear to the degree that it interferes with a person's life. A phobia is accompanied by strong anxiety that interferes with one’s ability to function and negatively impacts quality of life.
Phobias exist in the subconscious mind and are learned responses. This makes them vulnerable and very treatable with hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy for phobias is an effective approach that works with both fears and phobias to communicate with the subconscious mind and changes the way you feel and react to your phobia.
There are two main categories of phobia:
Specific Phobias
These revolve around a specific trigger. The trigger might be a situation, place, object, animal, or activity. These types of phobia generally begin in childhood. As a person gets older the phobia may become less pronounced, but for some people, symptoms can intensify as they get older.
Common specific phobias include:
Complex phobias
Complex phobias are not specific to any one thing. They normally develop in adulthood and are generally linked to anxiety about a particular situation or circumstance. The most common complex phobias are social phobia and agoraphobia
