November offer - FREE no-obligation Initial Consultation for new clients
1. Hypnotherapy sessions and fees
1.1 We agree to work together to address the issues presented by you. However, because of the individual nature of the treatment, no guarantee of a cure can be given, and it would not be ethical to make this claim. I will endeavour to use my best efforts and skills to work towards your therapeutic goals. A committed and well-motivated client is very likely to achieve realistic goals.
1.2 Therapy duration and number of sessions estimates are based on those provided to previous clients, however as all clients and conditions are unique these estimates are subject to change.
1.3 All session fees are payable within 7 days of treatment. Payment by BACS. Invoices are issued on request.
1.4 Considerable time is spent preparing for each client session. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours notice wherever possible. Any request to reschedule a session will not be unreasonably withheld.
1.5 Any request for a refund for advance paid sessions cancelled prior to the agreed 24 hours will be made by direct payment to your bank account within 5 working days of the date of the request.
1.6 If an emergency requires me to cancel your session, as much notice as possible will be given to you. If this notice is less than 48 hours, you will be entitled to a full refund for the session if you prefer not to reschedule. This will be processed within the above timescale.
2. Punctuality
2.1 If you are running late or anticipate running late for your session, please leave a message (calls are not answered when working with a client), or send a text message to 07736 573258. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate lost time, this is not always possible if another client is scheduled after you and therefore please understand that the session may have to finish at the originally scheduled finish time.
3. Commitment, Standards of Behaviour and Code of Conduct
3.1 Therapy requires commitment and motivation to gain the best results. Part of the progress happens in the therapy room, and part is achieved through reflection or homework. As a client you commit to engaging with the process both during the session and afterwards, by completing any homework that you are given.
3.2 During any therapy sessions, I will treat you with respect and not abuse the trust you place in me. I will use best practice at all times in our mutual interest. In return, you undertake not to harm yourself, or any other person, including me, or any property belonging to either me or any other person.
3.3 You agree not to attend sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except those medications that have been prescribed by your doctor. If you do attend any sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, or demonstrate violent or abusive behaviour, I will cancel the session and may refuse to see you for any further therapy sessions. Any anti-social behaviour by you will result in the immediate cessation of treatment.
3.4 Hypnotherapy recordings should not be listened to whilst driving, operating machinery or undertaking any other activity where concentration is required. Any recording provided is for your personal use only and must not be shared, lent, copied, or sold.
3.5 I am a member of the National Hypnotherapy Society (HS) and as such, comply with their Code of Ethics. This can be viewed at https://nationalhypnotherapysociety.org/about-us/code-of-ethics The HS also provides a complaints procedure, and this is available at any time. You can do this by visiting https://nationalhypnotherapysociety.org/help/contact or by telephoning 01903 213683.
4. Contact
4.1 Unless a prior agreement is made, it is expected that there will not be any contact outside of sessions (unless for rescheduling or cancellation). If contact is required, it is requested to be made by email at Deborah@monarchhypnotherapy.co.uk
4.2 If I must contact you this will be done via your preferred method (as indicated on your Client Record Form, which is completed before or during your initial consultation).
5. Confidentiality
5.1 All sessions will be conducted in the strictest confidence and this confidence will be maintained and applied to any and all records (including written, informal notes, and audio recordings), in accordance with the Data Protection Act and the subsequent GDPR legislation, except in the following circumstances:
5.2 I have an obligation under my membership of the National Hypnotherapy Society to continue my professional learning and development and therefore I may share case histories with my supervisor and peer-support group. All information will be anonymous, and this will not be a breach of professional confidentiality.
5.3 Notes of the sessions will be kept securely and are available to the client with reasonable notice.
