Teenage Anxiety Group Program

Anxiety

Anxiety is a natural response by the brain and body to potential threats. Sometimes our minds become hyper-alert and we feel anxious even when there is no real danger. The good news is that we can retrain the mind-body connection to reduce the feelings of anxiety and gain back control of anxious thoughts 

Teenagers and anxiety

 It's completely normal for everyone to feel stressed or anxious from time to time — life has its ups and downs, after all. Usually, these feelings pass pretty quickly. However, for teenagers, the pressure from school, friendships, social media, and future plans can sometimes lead to longer-lasting anxiety.


The good news? My Teenage Anxiety group program can help ease those feelings and offer some solid ways to manage stress. The young people leave the program with a toolbox full of techniques and strategies as a lifelong benefit to an anxiety sufferer. Sessions are relaxed, calm, non-judgemental and supportive.

Why hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy can be a great tool for addressing a variety of challenges, including stress, anxiety and panic attacks. It’s all about finding ways to help, rather than just focusing on the problems. Hypnosis is a safe, natural and relaxed state where the mind can focus on thoughts and suggestions that will help bring about long-lasting, positive change.

Research shows that hypnotherapy is a safe and effective way to help teenagers manage anxiety and stress. It’s a gentle way to help them feel more in control and supported as they navigate life’s ups and downs. 

Why group sessions?

If you have never experienced hypnotherapy before, my Teenage Anxiety group sessions are a supportive way to discover how you learn to reduce anxiety. And if you have, then you know what wonders lay ahead!


Group sessions are a more affordable way to access support for your teenager using hypnotherapy.


Finally, those attending the group will have a mutual understanding of what each other is going through, creating a feeling that they are not doing this by themselves.


What does the program involve?

1. Helping your teenager understand their anxiety This knowledge can empower them to recognise early signs of anxiety, which is the first step toward addressing it effectively. 


2. Guided hypnotherapy and visualisation to assist in reshaping their response to anxiety, helping them regain a calmer and more balanced state. This approach encourages a shift from the busy, conscious mind to a relaxed, focused state—much like meditation. 


3  Learning practical techniques to reduce and manage anxiety will help your teenager gain control over their anxiety and trust they can overcome it. 


Each one-hour session will be comprised of a combination of these and include a relaxing, empowering hypnosis session. Group members will be given 'handouts' to take away outlining the practical techniques, along with a hypnosis recording to listen to at home.
